Obselidia

Award Winning feature film by filmmaker Diane Bell had it's world premiere at Sundance 2010 and won both the Alfred P. Sloan Award and Excellence in Cinematography. Obselidia has been nominated for two 2010 Independent Spirit Awards - The John Cassavetes Award and Best First Screenplay. Obselidia is the story of George Samuels, who is writing an encyclopedia of obsolete things. In his quest to capture people, technologies, and ideas that are disappearing, he meets Sophie, a free spirited cinema projectionist. Together they go on a road trip to Death Valley to interview a scientist who is predicting the eminent end of the world, and on their strange journey, they discover perhaps love is not obsolete after all.
